Hand Painted Egg Trinket Boxes
Ethically Sourced these beautiful egg shaped trinket boxes have been individually crafted by skilled artisans in Kashmir. In this region papier mache is a skill which has been passed down through the generations since the 15th century. Each box has been uniquely hand painted in traditional and contemporary designs using natural organic pigments. Each is them lacquered to give protection and durability. The top of the egg neatly slots onto the bottom of the box to create a little trinket box which is painted black and lacquered on the inside. The finished masterpiece reflects the keen attention to detail which has gone into each masterpiece.
